Ireland’s financial services sector is fundamental to the growth and prosperity of the country. The recent report published by Financial Services Ireland and IFS Skillnet Financial Services in Ireland – Skills of the Future highlights a variety of news skills required in Ireland’s financial services sector, as it navigates an increasingly digital future and the challenges of climate change.
The main skills gaps identified in the survey within the report were data analytics and machine learning (18%), digital transformation (18%), and risk and compliance (18%).
The aim of the Financial Services in Ireland- the Future of Work event is discuss the findings of the report and to start conversation on what the future of work looks like in financial services and what needs to be done to ensure that the recommendations made in the report are achieved.
The event will commence with an overview of the report. Thereafter, the keynote speaker, Barry Winkless, CSO & Head of Future of Work Institute at CPL will highlight the opportunity for Financial Services to harness the 3 W’s of the Future of Work and create a destination sector that is responsive, regenerative and responsible. Drawing from the latest thinking and research from the Future of Work Institute, Barry will highlight the need to evolve mindsets, and energise new skillets in order to win in rapidly changing workplaces and marketplaces.
Following his address, we will then be joined by leading professionals to discuss what needs to be done to implement the recommendations highlighted in the report.
