DCU Micro-credential’s event

The DCU Studio FinTech Micro-Credentials event was held last week on DCU campus.

The event was opened by the Deputy President of DCU, Prof Anne Sinnott.

Our IFS Skillnet manager Donna Noonan was delighted to be in attendance along with IDA Ireland, DigiAdvance, and Hilary Moran from The Fintech Corridor.

A spotlight was placed on the skills gaps in the FinTech sector and there was an interactive presentation by Michael Dowling of DCU Business School on FinTech offerings. IFS Skillnet are delighted to sponsor the Graduate Certificate in Financial Intelligence and Technology course which includes micro credential modules. The event showcased how micro-credentials can help address skills needs and explored the role of AI in FinTech with a fireside chat by Dr Mairéad Nic Giolla Mhichíl with Prof Alan F. Smeaton.
